After four successful national fairs The UBF has popped out into the United Caribbean Business Fair (UCBF). This international fair will enable companies, organizations and other institutions of twenty-one countries to offer their products and services. The one hundred and eighty booths will be accommodated in a 7000m2-space.
This grand business event will be a platform for the six gigantic international economies – China, India, Indonesia, Israel, The Netherlands and Brazil – to do business with fifteen Caribbean countries. The focus will especially be on tourism, innovative technology, health, oil and gas, building construction and agricultural development. There will also be a forum for fashion and culinary sector. The way how these sectors have developed itself will be highlighted during 21 seminars. This unique event will be a fusion of business culinary and culture, scheduled within seven days, starting at the three major hotels of Suriname and will be preceded at the Chamber of Commerce.
With the focus on business development, facilitation and the matchmaking aspect of the fair we shall invite 6.000 key persons from the public and private sector of Suriname to stimulate business deals on macro, meso and micro level. This invitation will be in the form of a small card (credit card size), which also gives participants extra opportunities to promote their businesses through special offers linked to this card. Each invitee will be able to use the card for free entrance on all fair related events and most of the seminars.
Evaluation of the last edition of the UBF has shown that most invitees participated every day of the fair because of this personal VIP card and its great matchmaking opportunities.
