After four successful national fairs The UBF has popped out into the United Caribbean Business Fair (UCBF). This international fair will enable companies, organizations and other institutions of twenty-one countries to offer their products and services. The one hundred and eighty booths will be accommodated in a 7000m2-space.
This grand business event will be a platform for the six gigantic international economies – China, India, Indonesia, Israel, The Netherlands and Brazil – to do business with fifteen Caribbean countries. The focus will especially be on tourism, innovative technology, health, oil and gas, building construction and agricultural development. There will also be a forum for fashion and culinary sector. The way how these sectors have developed itself will be highlighted during 11 seminars. This unique event will be a fusion of business culinary and culture, scheduled within seven days, starting at the three major hotels of Suriname and will be preceded at the Chamber of Commerce.
With the focus on business development, facilitation and the matchmaking aspect of the fair we shall invite 6.000 key persons from the public and private sector of Suriname to stimulate business deals on macro, meso and micro level. This invitation will be in the form of a small card (credit card size), which also gives participants extra opportunities to promote their businesses through special offers linked to this card. Each invitee will be able to use the card for free entrance on all fair related events and most of the seminars.
Evaluation of the last edition of the UBF has shown that most invitees participated every day of the fair because of this personal VIP card and its great matchmaking opportunities.
Distribution of domestic and foreign exhibitors Suriname will be the host at this international fair, from the region 14 countries are invited in the form of their chambers of industry and their tourism authority. These countries are Guyana, French Guyana, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, Panama, Cuba, Argentinia, Brazil and Uruguay. Then from Asia, China, India, Indonesia, Malesia, Israel, the Netherlands. The total will be divided over 180 stands of which 110 are taken by Surinamese companies.

Due to the international character of the trade fair this year, the organization has decided to issue an English high gloss magazine of 6,000 copies for free. In this infomercial magazine there will be a 24-paged dedication to business partners, sponsors, seminar facilitators and also all information of every exhibitioner. This free magazine will be distributed among all visitors, exhibitioners and Embassies.
For those seven days the trade fair will be live on air via ATV and APINTIE TV. For three months there will be online live updates with articles in UnitedNews, UnitedLinkedIn, UnitedBusinessAPP and in UnitedFB on a daily basis.
