THE FUTURE OFF ALL WATER, AIR AND LAND TRANSPORTATION IN AND FROM SURINAME
Matchmaking and Innovation through Connectivity: Challenges and prospects offered by Suriname for enhancement of innovative transnational partnerships in global industrial and aeronautical, maritime and overland transportation networks
Suriname offers a great variety of opportunities for highly profitable engagement in modern business activities related to manufacturing, trade, storage and transportation activities for the intercontinental movement of industrial products and raw materials, as well as (semi)final products. Most of these very favorable conditions are primarily due to the geographical location of the estuarine area of the Suriname river, the maritime accessibility of the river, natural conditions for clean energy generation and potable water supply. There are also various other physical and structural resources available for advanced industrial productions next to possibilities for the creation of facilities for the accommodation of industrial plants and ports for regional and intercontinental transportation operations.
The presentation to be set forward by the seminar is meant for introducing Suriname to the global business community as a prime investment area for advanced global oriented economic operations. This will be done by highlighting the attractive uniqueness and financial and economic significance of the ever lasting competitive advantages offered by the physical and structural conditions present within the estuarine area of the Suriname river. This area offers an abundance of opportunities for industrial site and port development for the accommodation of international aeronautical, maritime and terrestrial cargo traffic according to the most advanced standards for efficiency, reliability and security in the manufacturing and transshipment of goods. The diverse availability of high quality but low- cost base resources for high grade industrial productions among which energy, water supply, land, labor and services will thereby also be reviewed. Special attention will be devoted to highlighting Suriname’s position in the international aeronautical, maritime and terrestrial land routes which are becoming of increasing importance for the intercontinental movement of goods and persons.
Other issues to be dealt with in the presentation focus the attention on the potentials offered by the area for engagement in the production of modern materials ,among which advanced high grade ceramic products, glass fiber and carbon fiber productions which constitute base materials for the manufacturing of: – industrial commodities such as ceramic items and glassware products for solar energy among which photovoltaic cells, mirrors, heliostats and other elements for solar power tower systems ; – various kinds of fiberglass and carbon fiber hard wares; – carbon fiber, fiberglass and silicone harnesses for 3D printing of construction materials, components for motor vehicles, industrial equipment and modern household utensils.
Industrial site development and port developments will receive ample attention in the presentation. The future outlook of demands for aeronautical and maritime services will be reviewed with the attention focused upon highlighting of concepts, ideas and propositions regarding the application of new and innovative approaches towards the organization of intercontinental shipping aimed at increasing the efficiency of transcontinental cargo flight and shipping operations. The discussion of terrestrial connections will remain restricted to highlighting of the role of the Suriname river estuary as international port area for all Guyana’s.
Special attention will be devoted to highlighting the various possibilities and opportunities for engagement in industrial and transportation activities, which offer attractive future perspectives and interesting possibilities for transnational cooperation between partner enterprises situated in different countries on different continents and involved in operating of different complimentary services.
In terms of connectivity major emphasis will be placed on discussing the concept of transnational alliances between small and larger enterprises in various fields of economic activity, as means for strengthening of one another within the global competition sphere of aeronautical and maritime traffic as well as on regional and global markets . The presentation will also shed some light upon the challenges and the opportunities for durable transnational connectivity between enterprises engaged in industrial productions, aeronautical and maritime transportation, financial, economic and technological services by means of durable engagement in transnational associations. This will take place by means of statements exposing the perspectives, prospects and challenges associated with the interests of the economies with global impact upon demand and supply set forward to this end . The discourse is aimed to provide the audience broad insight within the contemporary challenges offered by perspectives and prospects for doing business with and within Suriname.
