INVITATION TO SEMINAR ON TOURISM, INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND LOGISTICS: CURAÇAO OPEN FOR BUSINESS & LEISURE| FRI 22 JUNE | 8:00- 13:00|BANQUET HALL TORARICA, SURINAME
To further address the opportunities for international trade between Curaçao and Suriname, the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), the Curaçao Industrial & International Trade Development Company (Curinde), the Curaçao Post (C-post) and the Tourism Bureau of Curaçao (CTB), will be hosting a seminar on Tourism, International Trade and Logistics: Curaçao open for Business & Leisure.
This seminar is organized as to follow-up on the request by entrepreneurs in Suriname for more information on the free economic zones of Curaçao and benefits of regulations for export to the EU and the US. The seminar will be held on Friday 22 June in the Banquet Hall of hotel Torarica.
Moreover the seminar will encourage tourism and international trade between Suriname and Curaçao with more focus on revitalizing not only the economic business opportunities but also providing opportunities to spent attractive vacations close to home. Also the logistics opportunities related to export will be presented which was noted as one of the major bottlenecks for international trade between Curaçao and Suriname.
The seminar will increase awareness and visibility of the business – and export potential between Suriname and Curaçao and provide information on amongst others:
- the use and potential of the free economic zones in Curaçao: what is the free economic zone about, requirements and procedures for a registering a company, what are the benefits and facilities
- international trade benefits from Curaçao and the trade and quality regulations for export to the EU, the US and the Caribbean region,
- international trade and logistics : what are the possibilities to upgrade our logistics infrastructure
- Curaçao’s tourism destination image compared to other Caribbean competitors.
